‘American Idol’ announces 2011 ‘Idols Live!’ tour dates
Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – The finale may only be a few weeks away, but “American Idol” will keep singing all through the summer. A 45-date “American Idols Live! 2011″ tour has officially been announced.
This season’s top 11 — James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone, Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, and Thia Megia — are all headed to a town near you for the upcoming trek.
The tour is set to kick off July 6 at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, UT. The tour continues on through Sept. 10 where it wraps at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY.
Tickets for “American Idols Live! 2011″ are set to go on sale Friday, May 13, at 10 a.m. Meanwhile, “Idol” continues on until the show’s season finale crowns the show’s 10th winner on May 26 at 10 p.m.
Previous winners such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Jordin Sparks, and Fantasia have all been featured on the “American Idols Live!” tour, as have popular finalists like Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Katharine McPhee, and Clay Aiken.
